Greetings.

The box full of anime is a real box, just your ordinary file box, white and bought at Staples by a well-meaning ex-boyfriend of mine. It's not large, but it does contain all of my small, small anime collection, plus a few Star Trek tapes and Wallace and Gromit, of course. It was christened the "Box Full of Anime!" over January this year, and it is a reference to a really obscure joke I have with my parents.

We all used to love the tv show, "Dinosaurs", a sitcom, yet stupidly funny, for reasons which have yet to be discovered. Anyway, on one episode, Earl (the head of the family) is put in charge of TV programming and one of his shows is entitled, "Box Full of Puupies!", where problems mount, chaos threatens, and then someone says, "Wait! I have a box full of puppies!" and because of their cuteness, peace is restored.

So I got to thinking one night, as I was dragging the box to my friends' house, that wherever the bx full of anime went, peace was restored, my friends stopped bickering and watched it, for heavens' sake. So the box full of anime was a little like the box full of puppies: peace-bringing, too cute, and only slightly useful. And thus I christened my box.

End of explanation. Aren't you thrilled?
